Milestone Reached at the Donore Project! The Donore Project Team in Dublin 8 celebrated a major achievement last week with the topping out of the first building on this transformative residential development. In partnership with The Land Development Agency and Dublin City Council, the project will deliver 542 new homes — including 389 cost-rental and 153 social housing apartments — on the former St Teresa’s Gardens site. This development will bring high-quality, affordable homes and new amenities to the heart of the community. 👏 Construction is being led by @johnpaulconst . 🎥 Watch the latest Project Update video to learn more #DonoreProject #UrbanRegeneration #AffordableHomes #LDA #DCC #JPC @DeptHousingIRL #GovIreland @LDA_Ireland

Today marks a significant milestone in the delivery of much-needed housing for Dublin as we officially commence construction on the Donore Project — a landmark development in partnership with the Land Development Agency and supported by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. This project will deliver 542 high-quality homes, comprising both cost-rental and social housing, alongside vital community infrastructure including a crèche, public open spaces, and a new home for Donore Boxing Club. A municipal playing pitch will follow in a future phase. Dublin City Council is proud to play a central role in shaping a sustainable, inclusive, and connected community in the heart of the South Inner City. I would like to acknowledge the leadership of Minister James Browne TD, the collaboration of the LDA, and the continued engagement of local residents and stakeholders. We remain committed to delivering housing at scale while ensuring that new developments enhance the social and civic fabric of our city. #DublinCityCouncil #DonoreProject #UrbanDevelopment #PublicHousing #CommunityInfrastructure #LeadershipInHousing
