𝙄𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙥 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙩, 𝙢𝙖𝙮𝙗𝙚 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙙!
You’ve tried to teach a concept, but some of the children just aren’t getting it. Frustrating, right?
It’s tempting to assume the problem lies with the learners but that’s not always the case.
There’s an Igbo adage that goes: "Ọ bụ na okpu isi amaghị akpụ, ka ọ bụ na agụba adịghị nkọ?" (translation: Is it the head that doesn’t know how to wear the cap, or is the cap poorly shaped?)
This wise saying reminds us that when learning breaks down, there’s a 50/50 chance the issue lies in the teaching process.
Teaching isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey. Yet in this part of the world, many educators still struggle with the flexibility needed to tailor their methods for effective learning. Truth is, a good number may not even be aware of the diverse teaching strategies available—let alone how to combine them for optimal results.
That’s why the South East Educators Conference (SEEC) 2024 was just the beginning. This year, we’re leveling up!
SEEC25 will be a 2-day hands-on educator training experience, built around global standards and practical classroom impact.
We’re on a mission to raise dynamic, adaptable teachers who are ready to transform education in the South East—for good.
I hope you've taken advantage of the early bird discount to secure your spot?
Now tell us in the comments.
Which training or skill are you looking forward to at SEEC25?
Yours in transformation
