The clearer the expectation, the better the outcome.
A few communication pearls:
❌ “Can you take a look at this?”
✅ “I’d like you to take the lead. The outcome I need is X by Y.”
❌ “Just do your best.”
✅ “Success looks like A, B, and C.”
We also discussed why delegation fails:
• Vague asks
• Unclear ownership
• Implied timelines (“ASAP” means something different to everyone)
• Lack of follow-up
