And, because she did it as Deputy PM at taxpayer funded events valued at $910.58, Elections Canada ruled it amounted to an illegal campaign contribution from the Government of Canada.
Not from Freeland.
From the Government of Canada.
👉She signs a promise not to do it again.
👉Her riding association writes a cheque.
👉No personal penalty.
Meanwhile, some Liberals are still howling over @PierrePoilievre's 2017 violation… a fundraising email that mentioned a company with government dealings.
No public funds. No government platform.
No taxpayer financed press stage.
