#EuropeDay
Proud to be European! 🇪🇺
Today we celebrate something that once seemed impossible: decades of unity and lasting peace across our continent. No more devastating wars between European nations.
This is not ancient history — it is the living proof of what shared values and cooperation can achieve.
But let’s be honest: the criticism is justified.
Stifling bureaucracy, double standards, and moments when narrow national interests trump every value cannot be swept under the rug.
The true strength of the European Union has never been about elites controlling citizens’ freedom of speech or access to information under flimsy excuses.
Our strength lies in real democracy — where freedom of speech and clashing ideas are not threats to be managed, but the very fuel of our vitality and innovation.
Europe cannot survive, let alone lead, if it remains nothing more than a trading bloc, an ATM, or a rules -making machine.
If we want to remain relevant in the modern world 🌍, we need:
Fresh thinking.
Real efficiency.
Speed.
And above all — a renewed common vision: open to the world, free from old prejudices, and laser-focused on what truly unites us all and secures our prosperity and security.
Today, let’s honour Europe Day by committing to a bolder, more dynamic Europe — one worthy of its people and its promise.
Words and slogans are easy.
Deeds make the difference. 👇
