As was the case with the Junior Cycle French paper, the dumbing down in yesterday’s Junior Cycle Common Level German paper is shocking. Junior Cycle CL German paper is easier than past Junior Cert Ordinary Level German papers. Depressing to see how low the bar now is. #edchatie

3 German teachers gave feedback to @IrishTimesEdu_ on today’s Leaving Cert German papers. One teacher not working for a grinds business, one from @IOE_Dublin (who has been asked by @IrishTimes every single year for as long as I can remember) & one from @tuition_centre #edchatie

Just one teacher gave feedback on today’s Leaving Cert Construction Studies exam for @IrishTimesEdu_ Does this subject not count at @IOE_Dublin, @Studyclix and @tuition_centre? #edchatie

@IrishTimesEdu_ asked 4 teachers for feedback on today’s Leaving Cert Business exam. One teacher without a side grinds hustle, one from the Institute of Ed., one from The Tuition Centre & one from Studyclix with links to the websites of those last two grinds businesses. #edchatie

There really should be more focus on, and appreciation of, the Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) rather than the constant obsession with the Leaving Certificate Established and the CAO points race. Would be great to see more articles like this @IrishTimesEdu_ please. #edchatie

Junior Cycle French Common Level exam is “an absolute horror show” but not for the reasons Elizabeth mentions. CL paper is far easier than the Junior Cert Ordinary Level papers of the past and does nobody any favours. This year’s close test, though unexpected, was easy. #edchatie

Mixed reaction to Leaving Cert French exam papers, 3 of 4 teachers asked for feedback work for grinds businesses. J’attends avec impatience le jour when @IrishTimesEdu_ seeks feedback from French teachers who don’t work for FrenchNotes, @tuition_centre or @Studyclix #edchatie

Today’s Junior Cycle French paper (Common Level) really makes for depressing reading. It is so dumbed down compared to the Junior Cert French papers of the past. The paper is easier than most of the past Junior Cert Ordinary Level French papers and that’s not good. #edchatie
