School’s out. Educators still show up. ☀️ From summer programs to mentorship to after-school activities, they keep students inspired long after the final bell. #EducatorsMatter #SummerLearning

I’ll admit my bias. I have a real respect for educators, almost the same way I respect people in law enforcement, because both jobs are thankless when done right. That is especially true in the South Bronx. Educators are asked to maintain order, protect instructional time, enforce rules, absorb student volatility, manage parents, satisfy administrators, and somehow keep classrooms functioning inside systems that often give them more responsibility than protection. Now think about this. A highly educated professional assistant principal is enforcing a cellphone ban. A female student allegedly assaults her over a damn cellular telephone. And the assistant principal gets arrested. That should bother anyone who understands how public institutions actually work. This is not just about a phone. It is about what happens when an educator is told to enforce policy, then abandoned when enforcement becomes uncomfortable. If the school system requires educators to maintain order, then law enforcement cannot casually convert lawful school authority into criminal conduct because a student gives a louder, more convenient version of events. The real questions are simple: Was the assistant principal acting within her lawful authority? Was she enforcing a valid cellphone policy? Was she assaulted first? Did NYPD investigate the facts before making an arrest? Or did they do what too many institutions do — invert the record, protect the easier narrative, and turn the professional into the problem? Because if the facts are what they appear to be, this case should concern every educator in New York City. False arrest over a cellphone ban is not just bad policing. It is a warning to every school administrator who is expected to enforce rules without institutional protection. #FalseArrest #EducatorsMatter #SouthBronx #NYCSchools #SchoolSafety #CivilRights #PoliceAccountability #DueProcess #PublicEducation #InstitutionalAccountability #TheSandersFirmPC #RricSandersEsq #NewYorkLawyer

My high school English teacher showed up anyway. Even when others had low expectations. Even when most people didn’t believe in us. She showed up anyway. And believed against all odds... And called us up to our potential. That’s the power of an educator. You don’t just teach lessons… you change lives. Someone’s future can be different because of you. Even though the system is terribly flawed... Don’t underestimate your worth or power. Even on your worst day as an education, you can still be a student's best hope. I’ve spent the past six years teaching in Clay County — across elementary, high school, and junior high — and I’ve seen firsthand the realities our educators and administrators face every day. Teaching today goes far beyond lessons and grading. From IEPs and 504 Plans to MTSS, ESL, and Gifted programs, educators are balancing complex responsibilities while also addressing rising student disengagement and disruptive behavior that impacts the entire classroom. These challenges make one thing clear: strong, informed school board leadership matters. We need leadership with knowledge, courage, and independence to stand up for what is right for our students — not just accept the status quo. Michele has proven to be that person. I’m proud to support Michele Hanson for re-election to the Clay County School Board. She represents conservative values and commonsense governance, with a focus on practical solutions that support both students and teachers. If you value real classroom experience, accountability, stewardship of taxpayer dollars, and student-focused leadership, I hope you’ll join me. Please join me in supporting Michele as I have with a contribution to her campaign: secure.anedot.com/michelehan… #ClayCountySchools #EducatorsMatter #SupportOurSchools #ReelectMicheleHanson

Parents should be concerned about what’s happening inside Lake County Schools. The so-called Superintendent of the Year, Diane Kornegay, continues to ignore problems at the employee level and that directly impacts your children. The staff who love, protect, and care for your kids are not being properly supported. Many are still not being compensated for duties outside their job roles, an issue that has continued since beginning of school year. When educators and support staff are overworked, underpaid, and unheard, students suffer. Your kids deserve better!
The people caring for them deserve better! @lakeschools@EducationFL #LakeCountySchools#ParentsDeserveToKnow#SupportSchoolStaff#AccountabilityInEducation#StudentsFirst#EducatorsMatter

This past Saturday night, I had the honor of attending the @volusiaschools 2027 Teacher of the Year celebration. Thank you to School Board Member Donna Bigelow Brosemer for having me as her guest. I don’t have many photos from the evening—mostly because I was truly living in the moment. The room was filled with incredible energy and gratitude, with more than 850 attendees coming together to celebrate 70 of our amazing Volusia County Schools teachers. As always, it was a wonderful event to celebrate our educators, and support education. It was wonderful running into so many familiar faces, catching up with longtime friends, and spending time with teachers and administrators I deeply respect. Congratulations to all of the nominees and Teacher of the Year finalists, and a special congratulations to Erika Kazma of RJ Longstreet Elementary School, who was named Volusia County Schools’ 2027 Teacher of the Year. Well deserved. #VolusiaCountySchools #TeacherOfTheYear #EducatorsMatter #ThankATeacher #CommunityStrong #EducationMatters #ProudSupporter #InYourCommunity #OnYourSide #MakingAnImpact #MakingADifferenceTogether

In this #PowerInThePipeline video, we’re reminded that talent alone isn’t enough—educators need diverse, quality mentors and coaches to stay, grow, and thrive in high-needs schools. If we’re serious about rebuilding CA's educator pipeline, mentorship can’t be optional—it must be intentional.
