Night hunting for coyotes began on Jan 1st in NH. Slob hunters use calling devices to get the coyotes in range then just pop off the unsuspecting canines. They don't eat the coyotes. This is all about the thrill of taking life. The coyotes do not ever get a break as this time of year as they can be killed 24 hours a day. This goes until March 31st when females may be pregnant or may even have given birth. @NHfishandgame supports this and has never shown an ounce of concern for what coyotes suffer. Night hunting of animals should be prohibited, as raccoons are also tormented at night and they are shot out of trees and mauled by hounds. Just because people have sadistic tendencies, the government should not reward them with a way to express them. "A child's innocence is the one gift, that once stolen, can never be replaced". Clutching on to their doll, this little child's first memories will include blood, violence, suffering and death. The parent teaches the child these are good things, something to be proud of. The child thinks daddy loves them more if they participate and soon they are indoctrinated into the cycle of cruelty and they become the perpetrators. How many kids would have chosen that cruel path if they had been allowed to freely choose the life they want? Deep psychological desires to please their parents probably stifles their own value system until it just disappears. @NHfishandgame in an attempt to raise revenue offers a newborn lifetime hunting license. Parents buy these for their infants and take pictures with Fish & Game staff. It is akin to being in a cult almost, where indoctrination occurs. Will some kids walk away from this lifestyle of cruelty when they come into themselves and can think freely? Possibly. However the odds are slim because they will likely be surrounded by hunting and trapping, obsessive parents and family and friends who only think about killing. A lot of people ask us what we are doing to end some of these egregious forms of wild animal killing and trapping. It is really hard when society and the government maintain that this is necessary and something to be proud of. They control the narrative, a former Fish & Game Director even called us all "whackadoodles". The wildlife and game departments all have hunters and trappers in charge making the decisions, and politically pro-hunting politicians stack the committees that decide the fate of legislation. NH is not a ballot state so the voters do not get to decide. The minority are in control backed by powerful sportsmen lobbies. We will keep fighting of course and time will tell. Hunting and trapping licenses are going down and wildlife/game departments are bleeding money. They will have to be receptive to the 95% of the public who do not hunt or trap if they want to stay afloat. Their tight grip may be loosening. Thank you all for your support. More proof that raccoons are utilized by thrill-killers as animals that are shot up and killed just for fun. In Missouri two men called in coyotes and raccoons just to kill them. (Video posted in replies) The coyotes were part of a pack and were wiped out. The raccoons were a mother and two grown babies. They were doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but hanging out in a tree together as a family. These two heroes called the mother in with distress sounds and shot her, then they shot the two babies out of the tree. They were giggling and laughing the whole time. This is just a game and sport killing. This is happening across the country and in New Hampshire as well. Raccoons hunting starts on September 1st. The fur is not prime and people don't eat raccoons in NH. The only reason to kill raccoons then is because you just like killing. Not that anyone should support the fur trade anyway. Coyotes can be killed 365 days a year, even the pups. We need to collectively figure out how to stop this madness. This is not conservation, this is not hunting for food, this is not about anything but the sick perverted thrill of killing. We are thinking of having a rally in the spring at the Statehouse, maybe coordinate with other states and do it across the country.
