Communication 101,
We’ve come a long way in how and what we communicate. Today, when you appear in green, the world sees NDC; These colours aren’t merely accidents, they’re the result of deliberate branding, a craft we in the NDC (with thanks to Eventpr) have elevated to new heights. Blue has become synonymous with the NPP too.
In politics, appearance speaks before words do.
What we wear- our colours, styles, even our poise- signals who we are and where we stand. Think of global icons like Angela Merkel, Bill Clinton, or Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Their apparel didn’t just clothe them; it communicated authority, intent, and identity.
This week, as I’ve engaged with people from all walks of life, one truth stands out: we are not just what we eat we are also what we wear and how we present ourselves. Your outfit, your choice of outfit, your attitude, they all matter.
Sometimes, they shout louder than your words. Whether we admit it or not, people often judge us first by what they see long before we speak.
So, before you step into the world, pause. Glance in the mirror. The clothes you choose, the colours you embrace, the styles you adopt they’re your introduction to the world, your silent ambassador.
As the saying goes: your outfit speaks volumes before you do.
Want to be taken seriously? Then take your appearance seriously. It’s not vanity it’s personal branding. It shapes your personality, lifts your mood, and boosts your confidence.
When engaging with the media, your host or anchor, your audience even those you represent will notice. And somehow, that reflection in their eyes sharpens your own outlook.
So in all you do, keep your appearance chic, practical, and professional.
