One week ago I had the honor & privilege to emcee the 41st Annual Westchester County Senior Citizens Hall of Fame! Thank you to @EventsRemember & @westchestergov for entrusting me with this opportunity, & congratulations to every single honoree! It was truly a wonderful day 💙
See resolution #9. Definitely disappointing South St parklet wasn't made permanent (esp w a new restaurant coming there soon) and the program wasn't expanded to other areas like Bank St.
I still find it extremely bothersome that Gleason's wasn't allowed to keep their parklet but money in the hands Louie Lanza was able to keep his down at the Taco dive bar and Taormina was able to keep theirs.
Closure is clearly a huge success & benefit to downtown. Shouldn't City Hall recognize that w/out a group of volunteers putting together a PR campaign just to keep a good thing going? Zero argument to reopen it, and 1,000 people signed petition this summer for a permanent Esther.
We're currently focused on whether the Council is going to pass a resolution continuing the Esther Place closure, since we haven't heard anything about it despite several emails to the City Manager. But revisiting the signal debacle might be a good campaign for the new year.
A special thank you to some more of our Pirate University Sponsors!

We are so excited to show case all of our great partners on Sept 1st & 2nd- stayed tuned!
I suspect the return of @CityOfPeekskill to Twitter (for the first time since 2013!) has something to do with the hiring of Mt. Kisco-based Events to Remember PR to handle Peekskill's outside comms.
Welcome, @EventsRemember !
