Round 3 : Circuito De Navarra Spain 🇪🇸
🏆 Six races, six different winners. Adrian Manduca becomes the fourth different Eversio race winner! 🏆
Project Eversio White ⚪️
After qualifying P5, Adrian Manduca faced a challenging Race 1. An incident on the opening lap dropped him down the order, but a strong recovery drive saw him finish P7, which earned him a P2 start for Race 2 thanks to the reverse-grid format. Race 2 was undoubtedly the highlight of his evening. After battling for victory throughout the race, Adrian left it until the very last moment making the decisive move at the final corner of the final lap to secure the win! 🏆. George Pace is still searching for his first points of the season. Unfortunately, luck continues to evade him, as incidents in both races compromised his evening, leaving him classified P12 and P9 respectively.
Project Eversio Orange 🟠
Starting from P2 in Race 1, Jake Sammut was locked in a race-long fight for victory. At one stage he dropped to P3 and lost touch with the leader, but he regrouped, unleashed his pace, recovered P2, and hunted down the race winner. Close, but not quite close enough 🥈. Race 2 was far more chaotic. Starting from P7 due to the reverse-grid, an early mistake dropped him to the back of the field. Refusing to give up, Jake mounted an impressive comeback to salvage P4. Another tough evening for Brandon Bonello. After qualifying P10, he stayed out of trouble and fought hard throughout Race 1 to finish P8, earning pole position for Race 2. An exciting opening phase saw Brandon battling for the lead positions, but contact from another driver ended his hopes, forcing him to settle for P12.
Project Eversio Blue 🔵
Ryan Carabott qualified P8 and gained three positions through some excellent wheel-to-wheel racing to finish P5 in Race 1. Race 2 saw him start P4 thanks to the reverse-grid. After another action-packed race, Ryan gained another position to secure P3 and another podium finish 🥉. Denzil Agius endured another frustrating evening. Incidents beyond his control in both races prevented him from achieving the result his pace deserved, resulting in two retirements.
Project Eversio Black ⚫️
It was a difficult day for the Black team. Mikhail Mercieca qualified P7, but an incident through no fault of his own caused damage and forced him into the pits for repairs, dropping him to the back of the field. He refused to give up and mounted a superb recovery drive to finish P9 in Race 1. Starting P9 again in Race 2, Mikhail kept it clean and gained four positions to finish P5. A small dent in his championship aspirations, but an excellent damage-limitation drive. Steve Axisa Farrell, meanwhile, endured a day to forget. Yet again caught up in incidents in both races, he left the event empty-handed, finishing P11 in both outings.
🇨🇦 Next Thursday, we head to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Canada for Round 4.
