国際海洋科学掘削(EXP402)イタリア沖掘削成果。カンラン岩100m 以上が２本。ここは海ー大陸境界，かつ島弧マグマの影響も受けているので評価が難しいが、従来の海ー大陸境界掘削試料とは大きく異なっていた。限定された試料だけの研究は気をつけよう、もっと掘りたいところから掘らなきゃという主張。
