๐UPDATE ON KARUMA BRIDGE CLOSURE AND AYAGO BRIDGE ON KARUMAโOLWIYO ROAD
Extension of Date of Closure: This is to inform the general public that the closure of Karuma and Ayago Bridges has been extended to Monday, 17th March 2025. This extension will allow us to complete ongoing repairs on the Masindi Port Ferry, which is one of the designated alternative routes for motorists.
On closure, Karuma and Ayago Bridges will remain inaccessible to all traffic to facilitate the installation of expansion joints as earlier scheduled. The bridges are scheduled to reopen on Monday , 7th April 2025.

1. To Kampala - Gulu/West Nile; Via Luwero - Kafu - Masindi - Paraa (Murchison Falls National Park) - Pakwach or Gulu via Olwiyo (and vice versa)
2. To Kampala - Lira; Via Iganga - Nakalama - Tirinyi - Pallisa - Kumi - Soroti - Lira (and vice versa)
