Fun fact; there’s this flower called “Beelzebub Tulip”, and sometimes, Beel shares the same red eyecolor as her gradient petals. Despite it’s scary name, it’s just a spring-blooming flower
That article says nothing interesting about eye color. The paper says the program used to predict eyecolor predicts blue 56%, intermediate 19% brown 25%; not absolute but based on typicals of its database. So I see (get it "eye see") why you use a screenshot instead of knowledge.
We were discussing the mathematical method to implement to calculate the rarity scores. We decided to use the Inverse Frequency Scoring a.k.a "Rarity Sniper Method" since this method is closer to our logic. And also because we can implement this method both to individual NFTs and to the batch of NFTs.
Note that the scoring of the NFTs (and the rankings as a result) in the app will be there just for the information purposes and for you to have an idea of your collection in the sense of rarity ranking.
This method gives the highest score to rare pieces while common traits having almost insignificant scores. On the other hand, because the trait count is also in the calculation, according to bell curve, the most and the least trait counts will also have the opportunity to have higher ranks. We think this will give a more natural feeling to the rarities.
For example, if we talk about our collection, eye colors should normally be on every NFT but there are some exceptions. If an eyewear closes the eyecolor or a face without eyes, there will be no eye colors. And that situation itself will be a rare situation. This method will credit this situation naturally.
Talking about mathematical methods, we are considering to add a simulation tool. This tool rolls the dice for a collection but doesn't create visuals. Just statistics. So if you see a large deviation from your expected rarities, it means maybe you should check your rules or other things to pinpoint the problem. We decided to calculate the deviations by sigma, since it seems the most accurate method.

Oof. Like in general i like the update but i think i would miss the glowyness too in your case. As for me im a suncat. Im pleased BUT i had to change to a darker eyecolor because somehow my lighter shade that i always used looked derpy. I sometimes miss the glow of my eyes too.
