This is because the certificate itself is not collateralised, and any assets held in custody belong to the issuer. I can’t speak for this one specifically but, usually, the way the issuer ensures they can deliver the return is simply by holding the underlying.

From the prospectus I shared with you: “Investors in the certificates will be exposed to the creditworthiness of the issuer. There is no collateral, guarantee or other form of creditor protection available for investors in the Certificates”

It’s confusing because technically ETFs and ETNs are both types of ETPs. But in Europe we just use the term ETP to describe ETNs, and don’t normally bucket ETFs in with them.

Hey @DanyEid_ , ETNs are debt instruments. They normally aim to deliver the return of a predefined index or individual asset. To do this, they are typically collateralised by holding in custody the same mix of assets they offer the return on.
