ALT Craniofacial Acceptance Month. September marks Craniofacial Acceptance Month, a period dedicated to raising awareness around and educating people on craniofacial differences and how we can advocate for and promote acceptance of people who have them.

ALT How can I be an ally? Educate yourself: Learn about different craniofacial differences and the challenges people who have them might experience, so you can best provide support. Encourage positive attitudes: There are a lot of unhelpful narratives in the public domain which influence our biases. Try to seek out and understand the narratives that normalise difference, and are told by people with direct personal experience. Champion face equality: Face Equality refers to the concept that individuals should be treated fairly and without discrimination based on their facial appearance.
