God is not afraid of your questions. God welcomes your wondering. Psalm 13:1-2 shows us this:“why” is prayer, not doubt. Faith survives because it dares to ask. #FaithAndQuestions #DailyDevotional #SacredWonder #WomanistTheology #WawaAbaInstitute #CosmopolitanAffirmingCommunity

“When it comes to the laws of the Old Testament, we have to step back and realize — this is not God’s ideal scenario.” - Dr. Jo Vitale Dr. Jo Vitale explains that New Testament laws were given not as God’s perfect blueprint, but as a way to manage human brokenness in a chaotic world. She reminds us we’re supposed to feel the shock, weight, and grief of those hard passages. If they don’t jar us, we may not be truly grappling with what we’re reading. 📺 Clip from Problematic Passages 2025, recorded live at the Museum of the Bible, featuring Dr. Jo Vitale and Dr. Esau McCaulley. A common misunderstanding is that evil (or bad) only came after Adam and Eve ate the fruit. But if you look closely, evil existed before that moment. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was already in the garden before Adam was even created. That alone tells us that the concept of “bad” was present. So, maybe the better question isn’t *“when did evil begin?”* but rather: Did God create both good and evil? Isaiah 45:7 says: “I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create evil; I the Lord do all these things.” Deep stuff, right? Let’s discuss. #FaithAndQuestions #GoodAndEvil #ScriptureAndThought #BibleStudyMoments #Lazar
