🚨 Reality Check: | Annasaheb Vartak Road, Borivali (W) 🚨
📍 Work executed under
@mybmc ’s Concretisation Project — yet another case of “100% completion” only on paper!
🔍 Key Technical Findings:
1️⃣ Joint Sealing Work – NOT DONE.
Yet the
@mybmcInfra Dashboard proudly flaunts “100% completed.” Joint sealing is critical to prevent water ingress and edge cracking — skipping it is asking for premature failure.
2️⃣ No Road Markings.
Absolutely none. Safety and compliance out the window.
3️⃣ Level Difference Disaster.
At several junctions, the level difference between the old concrete road and new concrete panels exceeds 9 inches — a clear violation of IRC:SP:62-2019 guidelines. This is a recipe for vehicular accidents and drainage issues.
4️⃣ Mastic Asphalt = Cosmetic Cover-Up.
Instead of correcting the level difference, they’re now laying mastic asphalt to hide the irregularities — not fix them. This masking only traps the defect underneath, compromising the life of the pavement.
💬 So here’s the question:
If joint sealing isn’t done, road markings are missing, and level differences are masked with mastic asphalt — how is the project 100% complete on the dashboard?
