it plays like dogshit too. it wants to be fastgame but forces u to wait at several high tension moments. POST VOID is 100x better, and does nit have patience checks in a fastgame. also the gun in this game is like a magnet yaint even gotta click the enemies it sucks
Talking about the sensing games in Danchi Days with other designers i realize it's a logical next step from anodyne/sephonie-style puzzles into a more narrative space. it also feels like my fastgame optimization grind idea....which means DD is romasaga1 influenced

old versions of game maker had a bug where browser games would run at speeds synced with the refresh rate or something (e.g. a 60fps game would run double speed on a 120hz monitor) and a few people just played my games that way without realizing it.... the unintentional fastgame
anyways the "Fastgame" kinda fascinates me as a design space bc it's influenced by playing old games "wrong" (toggling ffwd on and off)... opens the door for other kinds of design based on playing games "wrong"
