IIHS Screens returns this January with ‘DALIT SUBBAIAH: VOICE OF THE REBELS’, a critically acclaimed Tamil documentary by Gridaran MKP. The documentary focuses on the life, struggles, and uncompromising spirit of the revolutionary artist Dalit Subbaiah. The writer-activist stood against oppression and caste injustice through his most powerful tool: music. Through his songs and public performances, Subbaiah carried the ideologies of Ambedkar, Periyar, and Marxism to the people, transforming streets into spaces of resistance and collective awakening.
