๐ At the event, the conversation on womenโs participation in digital finance was brought to life through real solutions from fintechs working on the ground.
Two
@FitspaUG members,
@4gCapital and
@FidoUganda, shared how their work is expanding access to finance for women entrepreneurs.
Representing
@4gCapital, Pius Tweheyo, Legal Manager, highlighted how the organisation supports women beyond credit by providing training, financial literacy, and tailored products that help small-scale businesses grow.
@FidoUganda represented by
@MwizaSophy, shared that over 30% of their borrowers are women, many operating businesses in hubs such as Nakawa, Kalerwe, and Nakasero. Through market activations and financial literacy sessions,
@FidoUganda is helping female vendors access digital credit to stock their stalls, pay school fees, and expand their businesses.
Notably, 23.7% of
@FidoUgandaโs female vendors have taken more than five loans, demonstrating how responsible digital credit can support sustained business growth.
These stories show the power of fintech solutions designed with women in mind-unlocking opportunity and strengthening local economies.
