If you're gonna do it I would definitely recommend giving yourself some space and some support. Some of the stuff it brings up can be surprisingly emotional.

Furries ultimately are just people. People can be wonderfully kind to absolutely terrible. We're a group of people with a shared interest just like other hobbies, fandoms and other groups
What makes us particularly unique is we shed... a lot. ;)

Same. I met a mom and kid at a convention. Kiddo had made a suit themselves which was great. The mom said she brought the kiddo because it was the one space the kid would open up, socialize, & actively interact with people. It was lovely to see. :)

True! I remember I once saw a woman posting about how her son identified as a furry and she wanted ideas on how to get him to spend less time on the computer, so a lot of people suggested sewing lessons so he could make his suit. She loved it and it was wholesome ππ»

Theres a lot of furries who are in the stem and engineering fields! Fursuits cost a lot of money and many things in the community are handmade
