Late post! It’s been a busy but very awesome week. I’m so thankful for our @TexasBaptists executive board. We met in Dallas earlier this week, received new board members, heard reports and made important decisions. Most importantly, we saw evidence of God being at work in our churches and institutions. In my report Monday night I shared about the importance of remaining focused on finishing the Great Commission task. On Tuesday, in addition to great reports, the board voted on officers for a new insurance corporation, to approve an agreement with NAMB, and to affirm the practice of church affiliation in regard to confessions of faith. We got to worship with the great people of @wedgwoodbaptist today. I was honored to preach. The church baptized two, received new members, heard a testimony from one of their own IMB missionaries & affirmed the elder’s election of an interim pastor. Happy to see friends like Dr @richardaross & Dr Dan Crawford. Worship was led by Johnathan Lara, whom I had the privilege to be his pastor when he was a child. Thankful for this church’s partnership with @TexasBaptists This is my mother-in-law’s church.
