Despite the snow and low water levels, over 1,200 visitors gathered at Washington Crossing Historic Park for our First Crossing event, bringing the spirit of 1776 vividly to life through living history, military drills, artisans, and hands-on learning. The weather, though challenging, offered a glimpse into the harsh winter conditions General Washington and his troops enduring during the crossing ❄️
We were honored to be joined by our event narrator and featured author, Tom Hand, Founder of
@AmericanaCorner with remarks from Matthew Darragh, Chief of Staff for
@America250_PA, who provided a generous grant in support of this event. We are also deeply grateful for the support of more than 50 volunteers along with members of local emergency services teams, whose dedication helped make this event possible 🤝
