Just got out of
#SuperMarioGalaxyMovie and it is pure fan service. Somewhere in there is a narrative about love, family, and fatherhood; however, it throws beloved characters onto the screen, letting them pop in and join the chaos as the story struggles a bit to unfold. While each new cameo brings a burst of excitement, the film often feels more engaging in those moments than in its overall narrative. Leaning heavily on fan-favorite game mechanics, Easter eggs, and iconic moments, the movie delivers plenty for longtime fans. However, it also feels overcrowded, with team-ups that don’t always feel earned, as if it’s rushing to justify bringing its full roster of characters back to the big screen. Yoshi deserves better. 😩
