SHUT IT !! It's the same old... you're fine, so never mind who you are HARMING ... or as per Tory records... KILLED A LOAD by SUICIDES or prematurely... due to BAD POLICY, CUTS and austerity... but mainly as NASTY PARTY! You are insulting GPs as well as voters who needed fitnote
About time. The fit note system is badly broken. Why did Labour ditch our fit note reforms and then waste nearly two years doing nothing? Still, it's needed so I welcome the news.

How about performance related pay for MPs & Councillors ? @darrenpjones @Keir_Starmer Lets say Non attendance at Parliament 20% pay lost per month not attended? Get a 'Fitnote' from a non medical ' Lose 6 weeks pay lost entirely Its what @patmcfaddenmp is doing to Disabled
Earlier this year, I set out plans to modernise the civil service - rewarding high performers, and strengthening accountability for those who fall short. Now, for the first time ever (!), pay rises for senior civil servants will be linked to performance - including the delivery of our political priorities.

Yes and all too often we hear numerous examples where someone has a #FitNote with " may be fit for work" BUT an employer is unwilling or unable to provide the support etc including extended phased returns to work that would enable a RTW And importantly we need sustainable RTW

Re #fitnote trial. If this is correct, government comms need to make it crystal clear, because if not, the risk to health would be grave.
The pilot is looking at better options to help people to stay in work if possible It is NOT about getting people to work who cannot work The Pilots will see if it would work with people & employers It’s NOT long term sick but aimed at preventing this

The issue is fit notes are for anything over 7 days for example if you have surgery and then recovery you need a fitnote. A friend also needed it when they had shingles. Maybe a reformat on how illness is looked at concerning work.

This report from the #BBC is terrible. The question is why should a #GP NOT sign a patient off with a '#FitNote' if seeking help & support with their #MentalHealth? This article highlights exceptional behaviour rather than help offered #OnesidedReport bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c20l…

I've emailed work to say I will be able to return when my Fitnote runs out on 29 September and said I can pop in before then to sort what my return will look like.

I've received a lovely email from my managers this morning after sending them my new Fitnote. I really hope I can get to the point where I feel ready to try returning.
