Limerick’s O’Connell Street now has one bus stop.
At 9pm this evening, it was full of cars, nobody afraid that @GardaTraffic or @LimerickCouncil would give them a ticket for it.
1675 days since councillors & officials declared an end to bus stop parking.

Gotta say: I didn’t think a part-solution to the problem of people parking their cars in Limerick bus stops would be the removal of a chunk of the bus stops… but there ARE fewer cars in O’Connell St bus stops now that there are fewer bus stops & the whole street’s a carpark.

Last week we reached the 4 year milestone since Limerick’s councillors & council officials declared an end to cars blocking bus stops.
It’s probably going to straddle at least 3 elected councils: quite the achievement in pisspoor progress.
