FluentCleaner 26.06.01 just dropped
github.com/builtbybel/Fluent…
A Windows cleaner built on a radical idea:
cleaning junk without becoming junk
No subscriptions
No registry snake oil
No dashboard that looks like a casino
Just WinUI 3 and a delete button that does what it says
CCleaner had its moment. FluentCleaner is what comes after.
open source, WinUI 3, real-time progress, AI-powered explanations, built-in terminal and soon on winget.
winget install builtbybel.FluentCleaner
github.com/builtbybel/Fluent…
FluentCleaner - open-source junk cleaner for Windows. WinUI 3, no ads, no bloat. If CCleaner peaked in 2012 for you too, this might be your thing

26.05.27 hotfix just dropped!
FluentCleaner 26.05.26 just dropped 🧹

new FluentCleaner Insider build is up github.com/builtbybel/Fluent…
you can now build your own custom cleaners manually or let AI generate Winapp2 entries and .ps1 cleaners for you.describe what you want cleaned. the AI writes the rule
this project is slowly becoming self-aware😄
most Windows cleaners let you click checkboxes
FluentCleaner is about to let you build your own
github.com/builtbybel/Fluent…
coming soon to Insider:
build your own cleaners or let others build them for you. this is either genius or where i lose control of the project😄🙄
FluentCleaner started as a simple experiment
can a modern WinUI 3 app actually feel fast, clean and lightweight without turning into adware halfway through development? turns out: yes
mostly powered by frustration and disappointment with existing tools🤨
github.com/builtbybel/Fluent…
I may have gone too far with the Natural Language Cleaning 🙄
have you ever talked to your cleaner?
it was the most productive conversation i had today.😄
FluentCleaner already does quite a bit, give it a look
github.com/builtbybel/Fluent…
personal build only. wont ship
#winui3
not the point I was making. the comparison isnt c# vs cpp, but its algorithmic design. CCleaner has 20 years of optimization. FluentCleaner is a solo project of a few weeks. scan-for-scan=identical. detection/parsing=FluentCleaner is actually faster🙄
I'm not doing anything too crazy. It looks like FluentCleaner walks the full tree once for each pattern, this can be done in 1 walk. Also, check your DMs :)
FluentCleaner 26.05.15 is out.
yes the AI made the banner. at least it cleaned up its temp files afterwards🙄
github.com/builtbybel/Fluent…
Scan cancellation, 28x faster multi-pattern scans, AI entry explanations, visual overhaul, Windows App SDK 2.0.1
CCleaner (C , ~20 years old) vs FluentCleaner (C#, .NET 10). same scan, same result, same speed. Turns out managed code doesnt automatically mean slow code
github.com/builtbybel/Fluent…
Next #FluentCleaner release gets even faster for entries with multiple file patterns.Stay tuned😎
should the AI slop make it into the next FluentCleaner build?
(its actually good i promise, OPT-IN, your own Groq key, zero telemetry, right-click any entry and get a real explanation instead of googling it at 2am)
yes or no? 👇
new FluentCleaner Insider build just dropped 👀
spent the afternoon unlearning my own hacks and doing it the winui3 way instead. turns out microsoft had the right idea all along 🙃
github.com/builtbybel/Fluent…#winui3#dotnet#windows
FluentCleaner brings back the classic PC cleaner idea, without the bloat
FluentCleaner feels like the modern PC cleaner CCleaner was always meant to become
