Churan is not the cure you think it is.
If you need churan, laxatives, or digestive powders every few days just to “clear your stomach,” that’s not normal gut function, it’s a sign your bowel isn’t working optimally.
Occasional use can help short term. Regular dependence (even on herbal or Ayurvedic churans) means the gut has become reliant on external stimulation. These products force evacuation but don’t fix root issues like slow gut movement, evacuation disorders, or functional constipation.
Chronic constipation is a medical condition, not laziness or poor habits. Many people using laxatives still have incomplete evacuation, bloating, and discomfort because symptoms are treated, not gut function restored.
Frequent dependence is often linked to:
• Low fibre or poor hydration
• Sedentary lifestyle
• Chronic stress
• Hormonal issues (thyroid, PCOS)
• Gut microbiome imbalance
What helps long term isn’t forcing the gut, it’s supporting it:
• Consistent hydration through the day
• Fibre from real foods, not powders
• Supporting gut bacteria
• Daily movement
• Managing stress & hormones
Use supplements when needed, not habitually. Your gut should not need forcing to function.
