One of the mistakes this man, Uchechukwu Nnaji, made was resigning from APC as Minister only to go and start picking a Governorship ticket from Wike's PDP faction.
When the story about Uchechukwu Nnaji was trended by Premium Times regarding how he allegedly forged both his NYSC and UNN certificates, I was one of those who strongly advocated that the most honourable thing for him to do was resign as Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, since he could not provide a valid and convincing explanation to clear the air on the allegations hanging over him.
Uchechukwu Nnaji eventually resigned.
But surprisingly, it appears he was not comfortable with that resignation because he went further to leave the APC and align himself with Wike's faction in the PDP.
What surprises me is this:
How does someone resign from being a Minister because he has allegations of certificate forgery hanging over his head, yet turns around and begins pursuing a Governorship ticket?
So, you were not eligible to remain a Minister because of forgery issues that needed to be resolved, but you are eligible to become a Governor?
And of all parties, it is even a party battling with the confusion of having two chairmen and two secretaries.
Did you honestly think your former party and the person who appointed you would simply fold their arms and keep quiet?
As of today, the ICPC has secured a warrant of arrest against him to arrest and prosecute him over the same certificate forgery allegations.
Someone who should have simply laid low and played his politics quietly from behind the scenes, especially when he has not been able to effectively controvert the allegations against him, is now staring at even bigger trouble with the ICPC.
Lol.
