The Pakistan government has announced free SIM cards for Hajj pilgrims, offering call and internet packages to help them stay connected during their journey to Saudi Arabia.
The initiative, introduced by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, will provide 600 minutes and 40GB of data for long-stay pilgrims, while short-term pilgrims will receive 300 minutes and 25GB of internet.
Officials say only one SIM will be issued per passport, with recharge facilities available at accommodation sites. Around 120,000 pilgrims are expected to travel under the scheme, with flights starting from April 18.
