Today’s
#FridayFeature is for the dog lovers of the world 🐾
This
@laurawoermke print portrays the Cleveland baseball duo, Jack Graney and bull terrier, Larry. Larry was the team’s mascot, spending time in the dugout during games and practices. While he was originally trainer, Doc White’s dog, Jack Graney spent a lot of time in the dugout with an injured shoulder in the 1912 season, and formed a deep bond with Larry.
The beautiful print, which is on display at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum, shows the two friends enjoying the ballgame together in the Cleveland dugout.
Come visit us at the museum to see the art in person and learn more about the man whose name adorns our lifetime media award, of which Hazel Mae
@thehazelmae was the most recent recipient.
And if you'd like to learn more about "Jack & Larry", we recommend the book of the same name by Barbara Gregorich, which you can get through our giftshop in person or online at
