On April 5th in Dili, the
#GCHumanRights alongside the UNTL Human Rights Centre [
bit.ly/4aIJso3] celebrated the launch of the Tetum translation of the book "Women’s Access to Transitional Justice in Timor-Leste: The Blind Letters" by Noemí Pérez Vásquez.
This important academic work focuses on the connection between war time human rights violations and post-conflict economic justice, demonstrating how the lack of recognition of the women’s role during the struggle for the independence is perpetuating gender inequality and discrimination.
During the next weeks the book will be promoted in a series of presentations in Dili, Baucau, Ermera and Liquisa, engaging Timorese students and youth. This project is made possible thanks to the support of
