@GM: Major Oil Consumption Issues with My 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 only 2 months old and spent 90k on!!!!
I bought a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 just 2 months ago, and Iโve already run out of oil twice! I work remotely and rely heavily on my vehicle for transportation and safety, especially during emergencies like the recent forest fires that forced me to evacuate my work location.
I started an oil consumption test on June 26th in Calgary. On July 2nd, after driving from Calgary to Fort McMurray, I checked the oil level with the engine cold after being turned off for 3 hours. Shockingly, the oil level wasnโt even touching the low mark on the dipstick.
Despite this, GM insists I continue this oil consumption test, but itโs clear my truck has a severe issue. I expected the 6.2 gas engine to be reliable, but this has been anything but. My trust in GM is shattered, especially after the poor support from the dealership.
I can't perform an oil consumption test properly because I work remotely and can't reach the 2,000 km checkpoint if my vehicle keeps running out of oil. Dealing with forest fires and evacuations is already stressful, and now I'm more worried about my vehicle failing me.
@GM, I demand immediate action to resolve this issue!** This is not the reliability or support I expected from a brand Iโve been loyal to my whole life. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, please share your stories. We need to hold GM accountable!
