i'm trying a lot of approaches for Kosmos still i really want it to be native, but at the same time i don't wanna maintain a whole editor myself, that was the problem of gpui and what makes web attractive at first glance is that you see monaco and it's just plug and play, boom

claude Fableが優秀らしいのでgitのguiクライアントを作らせてみる。FableがPMしてSonnetが実装するしてFableがレビューするスタイル。Rustで書いたらベンチマークできそうだからgpuiで作らせている。どんなものができるのか。

The Fable hype is real. I've been frustrated with how sluggish GitHub PR pages have become so I asked it to use the Zed GPUI toolkit and it basically one-shot created a native app for efficient code review 😌

Я тут недавно пытался реакт код от Claude design превратить в натив на GPUI. Нихуя не получилось. Надеюсь новый Fable справится лучше. Если нет, буду пробовать в Tauri завернуть.

For decoding, it depends on each platform, but most efficient way is to decode into a hardware buffer using avcodec (ffmpeg) Then you’ll turn that buffer into either a Metal, Dx12, or Vulkan surface that is rendered by wGPU. Gpui doesn’t expose the custom shader by default, so I made a light fork that added that capability in
