Irfan Solanki the 'gangster'(बाहुबली) of Samajwadi Party
Kanpur. A total of 18 cases have been registered against former SP MLA Irfan Solanki. He won from Sishamau constituency.
Once upon a time Irfan Solanki was capable of unleashing enough terror to bring normal life to a halt as he had the support of Akhilesh Yadav.
1. Gangster Act: On December 26, 2022, a case under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, against five individuals—including Irfan and Rizwan was registered—at the Jajmau Police Station.
2. Fake Aadhaar Card: On November 26, 2022, Irfan had used forged documents to procure an Aadhaar card under the alias "Ashraf Ali" and subsequently traveled by air. He has also been accused of helping illegal
#Bangladeshi migrants obtain Aadhaar cards based on forged documents.
3. Extortion: On December 6, 2022, Akeel, a resident of Anwarganj, complained that Irfan, Rizwan, and Mursaleen Khan (alias Bholu) demanded an extortion sum of ₹10 lakh from him. They threatened to kill him and his family if the demand was not met.
4. Obstruction of Official Duty: On December 26, 2022, a report was registered at the Gwaltoil Police Station against Irfan and others for obstructing official duties and misbehaving with a police officer.
5-Rioting and Criminal Intimidation: On December 26, 2022, Mohd. Nasif Arif lodged a complaint alleging death threats and rioting.
6-Violation of COVID-19 Act: On January 15, 2022 complaint against Irfan and others for violating the COVID-19 Act and the Model Code of Conduct.
7-Violation of Model Code of Conduct: On March 11, 2022, at the Chamanganj Police Station,
8-Attempt to Influence Elections: On January 17, 2017, a case was registered at the Colonelganj Police Station against Irfan Solanki and others for attempting to influence elections.
9. On 28 February 2014, Solanki and his bodyguards severely assaulted some junior doctors in Kanpur after a minor traffic accident near GSVM Medical College and the associated Hallett Hospital in Kanpur.
10. A widow named Nazir Fatima, accused Irfan Solanki and his brother of setting her house on fire to encroach on her land in defence colony, Jajmau
11. As of Aug 2024 the police have attached assets worth more than Rs 70 crore belonging to former MLA Irfan Solanki, his brother Rizwan Solanki, and his associate builders Haji Ajjan and Shaukat Ali .
Irfan and his associates possess property more than Rs 150- 200 crore.
12. In June 2011, Solanki along with 20 others, forced his way into the office of woman IAS officer Ritu Maheshwari.
He was later arrested after a complaint was filed for misbehaving with her, and this led to his supporters clashing with the police in Kanpur. He later apologized.
