Picked up a physical copy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition for @XBOX today. 🟢 It’s funny how a game released more than a decade ago can still create the same excitement it did back then. And now, 11 years later, we’re getting a brand new expansion: Songs of the Past. That’s kind of crazy! Back when I first stepped into Velen, Novigrad, and Skellige, I never imagined I’d still be talking about new content for this game over a decade later. Yet here we are. Finally managed to pick up a physical copy of @StarfieldGame and realized that the hype for seeing where @XBOX is headed, is still going strong for me. 🟢 Maybe it’s my return to physical collecting. Maybe it’s the feeling that XBOX is seemingly building its own identity again. But as someone who’s been here since the OG Xbox days, I haven’t felt this connected to the platform in a long time. 🎮 There’s just something comforting about adding another green case to the shelf. It’s very clear that right now, things at @XBOX are pretty active. As someone who grew up with the original XBOX, that feeling I had back then, walking into a store, picking up a game case, reading the cover art on the way home and playing the game repeatedly until I gathered enough money to buy a new one, is slowly coming back again. 🎮🟢 I can’t stop buying physical XBOX games lately, even games that I own digitally. And for the first time in a very long time, building an XBOX physical collection feels special again. People say “digital is enough,” but I don’t think humans are built to live entirely digitally. We need material things. We need the feeling of holding something real. The optical satisfaction of seeing a collection grow. The touch confirmation that this game, this memory, this experience… is truly yours. Maybe that’s nostalgia. Or maybe physical media still matters more than we thought. Either way, my faith in Xbox is slowly being restored, because the passion is starting to feel alive again.
