That desert fights in the middle of the movie felt like a perfect representation of every fight Hulk has had near Gammabase in the comics. I was willing to forgive the movie for all the problems in the first half after seeing that. But then came the ending....

In the 1982 The Incredible Hulk NBC cartoon series, there was an episode that was loosely based on this story. The title of the episode was “ It Lives, It Grows, And It Destroys.” Hulk battles an organism created from a rival scientist that Banner warned Gammabase about.
