In June, we were honoured to participate in a strategy workshop with our donor, the International Budget Partnership [@OpenBudgets ] (IBP). The workshop aimed to align global strategies with country context priorities, focusing on gender and intersectionality. At the International Center for Investigative Reporting (#ICIR), we're implementing the Strengthening Public Accountability for Results and Knowledge (SPARK) 2 project. Our investigative journalists are currently in the field uncovering health care and agricultural challenges especially as it relates to the deplorable state of Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs), maternal health and the challenges faced by smallholder women farmers in Nigeria. Our goal is to shift the mindset of decision-makers and stakeholders towards valuing inclusion, and the perspectives of marginalized communities in policy formulation and resource allocation.
