@AnimaMach spotted a large-scale mural dedicated to the legacy of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is located in East London. Along with the photo, the author of the post also left a personal comment:
— "Companies are constantly commissioning local artists for projects like this, and this spot is right next to SXSW London. Could a Sonic-related announcement be on the cards?"
Thanks to the Jockney Sparrow YouTube channel showing the mural’s creation process, it has been discovered that it was painted by Global Street Art. This is a professional European studio specialising in creating this kind of street art to promote brands, films, TV series, and various products.
This means that what you are looking at is not a fan-made piece, but a project presumably commissioned by SEGA.
