"I was part of Initialize UNL, Honors, Peace Corps Prep Program, Thompson Scholars, Husker Vote Coalition, orchestra, pep band, Foster Care Closet, and TRIO. I studied Spanish in Costa Rica as a Gilman Scholarship recipient. This year, I wrote and defended my thesis, 'La lengua no miente, pero guarda secretos: Rigoberta Menchú y lecciones de la memoria colectiva desde la perspectiva del feminismo transnacional' (English: The Tongue Never Lies, but It Holds Secrets: Rigoberta Menchú and Lessons of Power and Resistance).
"I will be continuing my education at UNL in the Modern Languages and Literatures – Spanish Master’s Program with an assistantship."
