BRCC was proud to represent the @golctcs at the Power-Based Violence Review Panel meeting at the Louisiana State Capitol this week. BRCC student government treasurer Kyla Cambrice served as our student voice on the panel, contributing to an important conversation on PBV processes and reporting across Louisiana’s college campuses.
Discussions centered on improving reporting pathways, addressing challenges related to AI‑generated PBV content, and exploring broader Title IX considerations impacting students statewide.
Kyla was supported by several BRCC staff: Jasmine Adams, Deputy Title IX Coordinator; Terri Angrum, Director of Student Life; and Isaiah Mayfield, Assistant Director of Student Life.
We appreciate the leadership and engagement of state officials in attendance, including state Senators Regina Ashford Barrow and Beth Mizell, as we work together to strengthen safety and support for all Louisiana students.
