We won a #GroMoreGood Grassroots Grant from @Kids_Gardening and @Scotts_MGro! With the award, we'll be able to start our Native Pollinator Garden for students! 🐝🦋🌼
Tomorrow is NY's Get Outdoors & Get Together Day; #gardening is also healthy, outdoor fun @NYSDEC @NYstateparks
ALT Wild Woods Restoration Project volunteers collect and grow local native plants for native planting restoration projects. We housed these in the Moretti Education Center this season!
ALT Golden Alexander (Zizia aurea) is a host plant for the Black Swallowtail and the Ozark Swallowtail, which lay eggs on them.
ALT Pennsylvania Sedge (Carex pensylvanica) is one of the first to bloom in spring and makes a great no-mow grass substitute.
