β€œI think you’re mad…” 😑 Said one colleague to their CPD leader this morning. β€œI think you’re mad to organise three hour training on questioning…. β€œ said the teacher to the school leader… β€œbut it was brilliant!”, they added. This feedback, on the first day back after the Christmas slump. πŸ—£οΈ Very few schools zoom in on this single topic, despite it being the number one intervention in the classroom. It’s the prefect tonic for #adaptiveteaching, and can offer many teachers ready-to-use techniques, easily implemented into lessons. In my #GuideToQuestioning research, and recent experiences, teachers have rarely revisited this pedagogical idea for a good 5-10 years, perhaps not since their teacher induction! There are many techniques we can discover, transferable for adult-learning too.
