Thanks, Charles! Hashids are great for obfuscation — ObjectId is more about compact unique identifiers that stay sortable. v1.0.0 is just the start — more database-level optimizations coming soon.

I use butchr.dev which comes with debugbar, sluggify, hashids, permissions, activity log and some other packages I can't think of right now

We use HashIDs for Pirsch. I even wrote a library mapping them automatically to numbers that are used internally. github.com/emvi/hide

생각없이 UUID 를 쓰고 있었는데 nanoid 써봐야겠네요. (이거랑 다른 용도로 시퀀스를 감출때는 hashids 를 쓰곤합니다.)

Day 40 of #100DaysOfALXSE I switched to the CLI tool for @codesnipx which will be published as an NPM package. I am looking at how to integrate the authentication service into it but haven't figured the best way out yet. Refined my get by id endpoint to allow search by slugs or hashIDs and it is working fine now. #buildinpublic #100DaysOfCode
