"In the history of recorded music, there is a small minority of artists who have had the kind of hitmaking longevity of Swift." What a sentence. So proud of her

"Loke Loke" is a standout track that highlighted Sean Tizzle’s exceptional hitmaking run in the early 2010s. Released in April 2014 The song features a verse from the legendary 9ice. "Loke Loke" translates to "Higher Higher" or "Upwards Upwards" in Yoruba. #throwback #seantizzle

Singer Queen Noma, DJ Maphorisa, and Nay Maps Unite for New Single 'Count Your Blessings' A powerful cross-genre collaboration is set to shake the South African music landscape as singer Queen Noma joins forces with hitmaking producer DJ Maphorisa and actor-musician Nay Maps on an upcoming single titled Count Your Blessings. Blending soulful vocal delivery, signature 3-Step rhythms, and emotionally grounded storytelling, the track is positioned as both a dancefloor anthem and a reflective record centered on gratitude, resilience, and personal growth. The production carries the unmistakable layered percussion and atmospheric textures associated with DJ Maphorisa's evolving sonic direction, while Nay Maps adds a melodic vocal presence that bridges music and cinematic emotion. Queen Noma leads the record with a performance rooted in spiritual depth and lived experience. She delivers a message that encourages listeners to acknowledge their progress, appreciate life's journey, and remain grounded through both success and struggle. "Count Your Blessings" is built on a fusion of Afro-house, 3-Step, and soulful, Amapiano-influenced structures. The record is designed for both radio rotation and live DJ sets, featuring a tempo and rhythm structure that emphasizes movement while retaining emotional weight. "This song is about remembering where you come from and recognizing every win, no matter how small. It's a reminder to stay thankful through everything," Queen Noma said. She added that working with industry powerhouses like Maphorisa and Nay Maps has been an eye-opener. "I'll forever be grateful for being afforded the opportunity to work with them. In terms of professionalism, I learned a lot from them," she said.

If we're talking strictly about singing ability, many music fans would argue that Wizkid has the edge. He is known for his smooth vocals, melodic control, soft delivery, and ability to blend effortlessly into Afrobeats, R&B, and international collaborations. However, Davido brings a different strength. His voice is more energetic, powerful, emotional, and instantly recognizable. While some may not rate him as highly on technical vocals, his delivery, passion, and ability to create hit records are exceptional. You might say "Oh it's coming from a 30BG, but here is the truth with a simple breakdown: Vocals/Technique: Wizkid Energy & Emotional Delivery: Davido Hitmaking Ability: Both are elite Stage Presence: Davido Melodic Smoothness: Wizkid At the end of the day, the "better singer" depends on what you value. If it's pure vocal smoothness and melody, Wizkid likely gets the nod. If it's passion, energy, and emotional connection, Davido has a strong case. Both are legends of Afrobeats, and their different styles are part of what has made them so successful.

Nas spent time criticizing Jay for things he copied Jay on, like Nas’ poor hit song attempts w/ Timbaland after Jay brought Timbaland into rap hitmaking.

Prefacing statements with "I think" while immediately following up with unvetted opinions trap everyone in an echo chamber of confirmation bias and stunt cognitive flexibility. You threw something out that isn't even close to Accurate. Hundreds of people are liking it and stuck in the Echo chamber with you. Where's the research behind this? Where's the critical thinking? And it's the OG post and the comments. And the space in general, actually. This comment and the post in general show an erosion of objective thinking. Imagine calling any of these writers and producers 'throwaway beat' makers. Big Hit doesn't hire clueless people and producers don't take work unless doing research. And they all care deeply about music which is why they do what they do. Let’s stop rewriting history for tweets. ARIRANG International Producers & Songwriters: * Diplo: World-renowned DJ and producer; helped produce and write "Body to Body" and "FYA" * Kevin Parker (Tame Impala): Acclaimed psychedelic rock producer and songwriter; contributed heavily to "Merry Go Round" * Mike WiLL Made-It: Hit hip-hop producer known for his work with Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna; produced "Aliens" and "2.0".Flume: Grammy-winning electronic music producer; co-wrote and produced "FYA" * Ryan Tedder: Frontman of OneRepublic and a legendary pop songwriter (Adele, Beyoncé); co-wrote "Body to Body" * JPEGMAFIA: Hip-hop artist, rapper, and experimental producer; co-wrote "FYA" * Picard Brothers: Hitmaking French production duo; helped produce "Body to Body" There's a learning curve with the artists and producers in the music making process. Unless you know what that is or have done enough research on it, probably shouldn't "I think" a tweet.
I think all of those producers came with the impression that bts/BH don't care about music and probably gave them their throwaway beats. But I'm glad they went through this and realized BTS's artistry & how much it means to them & came out of this with so much respect for them.

Many people thought that Linda Ronstadt had abandoned the search for pop glory by the end of the 80s. She’d spent much of the decade taking advantage of various opportunities to pursue musical interests divergent from her 70s hitmaking days. But in 1989, she returned to show that she could go the pop-star route if she chose. And she brought fellow legend Aaron Neville along for the ride on the touching duet “Don’t Know Much”.
