A product person can now ship the kind of app that used to need a small team.
HypeCheck started as a simple startup idea validator.
It now has auth, Claude report generation, Supabase storage, Dodo payments, public report URLs, report history, legal pages, and a live domain.
That is not because building became easy.
It is because the leverage moved.
AI coding tools compress implementation.
They do not compress taste, scope control, pricing judgment, distribution, customer trust, or knowing which problem is worth shipping in the first place.
The next wave of indie software will not come only from better developers.
It will come from operators who understand a market deeply enough to know what to build, and can now brute-force the technical gap with AI.
The bottleneck is moving from “can you code?” to “can you choose correctly?”
