I got hired for a remote role by
@ICCInsurance, who’s based out of Illinois. I trained for 4 months, then one day I was asked to come into the office in Moline, IL for a week. I communicated that I have some family stuff going on that’s going to prevent me from coming in at this time. My boss seemed understanding and said she will talk with her boss and get back to me. 4 days later I get a call via teams and it’s my boss, her boss, and HR and they proceeded to fire me. How the hell do you hire someone remote, not tell them that their job is contingent upon coming into the office, then fire the person because they’re remote? Extremely fucked up.
Fuck ICC, their shit pay, and their archaic corporate culture. I’m better off 🖕🏾
