“Adults can still access social media through age checks like facial recognition, digital IDs, passports and credit cards.” So there it is - this wasn’t about banning under 16s from social media, this was about giving EVERYONE a digital ID. RESIST 🚫

Just seen this: 'Adults can still access social media through age checks like facial recognition, digital IDs, passports and credit cards.' So it's not just a ban for kids, it's ID-gating half of the internet.

"Adults can still access social media through age checks like facial recognition, digital IDs, passports and credit cards" — So eliminating the right to anonymity/privacy online is the true objective, got it 👍🏻

“Adults can still access social media through age checks like facial recognition, digital IDs, passports and credit cards” This is what Labour and the Conservatives now call freedom: proving who you are before you can speak, read or participate online. They say this ban protects children from online predators. I’ve prosecuted those predators. Here’s what they don’t tell you. We catch him. We charge him. Then he’s released on bail while the case crawls through the courts for a year. When he’s convicted, he doesn’t go to prison, he gets a suspended sentence or a community order. Successive governments won’t lock up the actual predator, won’t take away the groomer’s freedom. But won’t hesitate to curb ours.

Most Redux bugs aren't Redux bugs. They're ID bugs. ✅ Fixed broken API updates/deletes with dynamic IDs. ✅ Stopped mixing database IDs with Redux state IDs. ✅ Mastered the flow: Dispatch → Reducer → Store → UI. Clean IDs = Clean Apps. #React #Redux #WebDev #frontend

And for those of us who've had our accounts for longer than 16 years, I wonder if we'll have to submit our IDs? I've had my Youtube account since 2007, Facebook account since 2008 and this account since 2010.

Issuing National IDs to foreigners with the aim of getting their votes is unpatriotic nature I've never seen. This government is ready to take this country down.

“Adults can still access social media through age checks like facial recognition, digital IDs, passports and credit cards.” There you have it. It was never about protecting children. Age verification was always a trojan horse to implement digital IDs, mass surveillance, and censorship of the internet. If Western governments cared about protecting children it would arrest the child rapists in the Epstein files.

They want to control speech for adults. It's about IDing every user of social media platforms. The kids part is a farse. Of course good parents already don't allow their kids to use social media and bad parents will let their kids use their IDs. This was never about protecting kids.

After the exposé on how Kenyan IDs are allegedly being sold to some Somali and Ethiopian citizens, there is one excuse that keeps being repeated: "Kenya allows dual citizenship." Let me say this clearly. No one said dual citizenship is illegal. The issue is not dual citizenship. The issue is how that citizenship was acquired. If it was acquired legally, how does someone have documents showing they were born in Wajir, Kenya, while other documents show they were born in Mogadishu, Somalia? How? If it was acquired legally, how does someone have documents showing they were born in 1995, while Kenyan records show they were born in 1996? How? Your Kenyan ID should reflect your true identity, not a different version of it. So stop using dual citizenship as a diversion. The question has always been the same: how was the Kenyan citizenship acquired? And by the way, no Kenyan should be celebrating this. Especially my brothers and sisters in Mandera, Wajir and the wider North Eastern region. When citizenship records are compromised, it is genuine Kenyan citizens who end up carrying the suspicion and stigma. This is not about Somalia. It is not about Ethiopia. It is about protecting the integrity of Kenya's identity system. Because a country that cannot trust its citizenship records is creating a serious national security risk for itself.
