If you’re building software related to manufacturing in any shape or form, Elixir should be the way. Slap ElectricSQL and Tanstack on top of it (mostly Phoenix), and you have a killer mix.
I’m willing to bet Elixir will be huge in the coming years because of the way software will be used (ie for more realtime use cases)
I don’t know why but building firmware is so much fun!
I guess it goes back to my roots when I rooted a Lego mindstorm to run C on it, in elementary school.
The true magic of software is when it blends in with hardware. Nothing else comes close to it.
And with elixir, it’s 10x more fun. Nerves makes it delightful in a way that you still have control but don’t need to bullshit required to make it work like with JS.
Highly confident that tomorrow, the CNC Pi will report back to HQ.
